April is Amy Month - Inescapable Giveaway
/
Happy Monday friends!!
Let me go into why I decided to make April Amy month. See, back in February of 2012 I was perusing a book site and saw this cover....
Well it intrigued me. I have loved angels for a very long time so seeing the feather I read the synopsis and was even more intrigued. I then decided to read the book and BAM! A love affair was born.
Through the past year I have been so blessed to chat and work with Amy on blog posts through SupaGurl Books. I have gone on to read books 2-4 and am currently foaming at the mouth to get my hands on book 5, Iniquity. Amy is such an amazing writer, but more than that she is a down to earth person. She takes time to answer tweets and Facebook posts from her rabid fans and always has a humble, grateful spirit.
Her books knock my socks off so I decided to dedicate the month before my own book is published to her. This is a small gesture to someone who has inspired me to be a better writer and whom has entertained me thoroughly!
Here is my old Goodread's review for Inescapable:
This is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite books!
To each their own but this book is so fabulously written and full of awesomness that it beats out many a traditionally published book any day! That's right this is an Indie book people! Meaning self-published and it is spectacularly done!
Amy writes about angels and soul-mates, love and loss, friends and enemies in such a way that you are gripping a pillow to your chest one moment and yelling at the characters the next.
In our MC Evie we have a girl who is strong but yet like all college freshman she is unsure of herself and her feelings. She does stupid things sometimes but haven't we all? Especially when it comes to love.
We have some gorgeous, guys in Russ and Reed who will make you equally crazy for them and mad at them depending on the day. One quirk of Amy's is that she writes the characters accents into her dialogue so you are reading a very southern twang every time you read Russ. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me and the second time I read the book I actually adored it.
And that is the beauty of Amy's writing! The characters are NOT perfect they are flawed just like we are and they make you love, hate and then love them all over again. Inescapable sucks you in and drags you along for an amazing ride that keeps getting better as you read along in The Premonition Series.
I so highly recommend this book to all Paranormal Lovers!
