Tuesday Tease - Never Let You Fall

Ya'll!!!! Just a few more weeks till expected release!!  I am *fingers crossed* planning on a May 1, 2013 release!  One thing that could possibly mess this up is the fact that I am currently on a mission trip to NYC (March 28-April 6) so I am not able to do any work on the book!  I plan on working my fingers to the bone when I get home so we can stay on track.  Think good thoughts my friends!!

This tease was a hard one to put out there.  I love this scene between Skye and Xander and debated on sharing it with you guys.  I hope you love them as much as I do...

From Skye's POV:

"Xander, what would they do with you and Rioden?"

"Oh - well make no bones about it, they want us dead," he acknowledged; his voice so matter-of-fact that I could have sworn that ice ran through his veins.

"That's not going to happen, Xander," I promised him for a change.  "I will never let you fall."

"You, what?" he asked, his eyes darting to mine. 

His hand squeezed mine tightly.

"I won't let you fall.  You will not die for me.  I can't live with that, Xander, and I would rather let them take me before I let them kill you." 

He opened his mouth to argue with me, but I held up my hand.

"Don't argue it.  There’s no point.  I've made up my mind."

He shook his head at me but didn't argue.  Instead, he promised as he always did, "If anything happens to you…if we get separated, if you martyr yourself…anything, Skye.  As long as I am breathing, I will always find you.  Always!"

Those were just the words I had counted on him saying.

SWOOON! Be still my heart I love my little book man!  If you haven't figured it out yet "I will never let you fall" is a very important phrase in this book.  Hence the title ;)
